Most monitor confusion comes down to two decisions that get made in the wrong order. Buyers pick a refresh rate first and a panel second, when the panel is what they will notice every day and the refresh rate is the one their graphics card may not be able to feed. Decide the panel type first
OLED gives you true black and near-instant pixel response; IPS gives you higher sustained brightness, no burn-in risk and a much lower price. Which is right depends on the room and what is on the screen for hours at a time.

Then decide how much refresh rate you can use
